Upon the completion of the course, the participants are expected to gain a basic understanding regarding the operation and the maintenance of compressor system and to have an ability to analyze and to solve problems encountered in the operation and in the maintenance of those compressors.

6. Introduction to Thermodynamics principles on the compressor operation.
7. Free Body Diagram Analysis to solve problems regarding the load at any compressor components, and as the basic for vibration and stress analysis.
8. Main components of compressor and their individual functions.
9. Load analysis and force balancing devices.
10. Sealing systems, kind of and the work of each sealing system.
11. Performance characteristics of gas compressor.
12. Operation parameters.
13. Vibration and methods to overcome excessive vibrations.
14. Balancing basics and stress relieve device.
