Pelatihan SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS(SCBA)

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
All Fire Department Personnel shall wear SCBA when operating in any of the following atmospheres. SCBA shall be used by all personnel who enter into hazardous atmospheres during ther activities or other IDLH or potential IDLH atmospheres. This course are to provide all personnel who enter into hazardous atmospheres become familiar with donning and doffing, checkout procedures, features, use emergency procedures.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
• Describe how to recognize medical signs and symptoms that may limit or prevent the effective use of the respirators
• Describe why the respirator is necessary and how improper fit, usage, or maintenance can compromise the protective effect of the respirator.
• Describe what the limitations and capabilities of the respirator are.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS TRAINING?:
All Fire Department Personnel and others responsible for using SCBA.

1. Fundamentals
• HSE Rules and regulations
• Hazards in the workplace
• Pack Familiarization
• Inspection
• Maintenance
• Bottle Filling
2. Operations
• Why SCBA is necessary?
• What are limitations – equipment, environment and user?
• Maintenance and Use
• Emergency situations – failure
• Knowledge of policy
